Senior Full-Stack Software Developer · Technical Lead
Senior software developer with more than 17 years of professional experience. I contribute to existing projects or take responsibility for complete systems across development, deployment, hosting and maintenance, working independently or as part of a team.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Extended and evolved a large CRM platform over nearly eight years, as part of a team.
- Designed and delivered new modules, integrations and continuous improvements.
- Built client systems and webshops on top of the platform.
- Introduced new systems and better ways of working inside a legacy codebase, while keeping everything already built fully supported.
Helped build, from scratch, a data platform collecting live diagnostics and GPS from vehicles on the road.
- Responsible from the ground up for multiple portals and systems, the coordination between them, and data security — user data fully encrypted and inaccessible without authorisation.
- Co-built the ingestion pipeline: a constant stream of data points over mobile networks, funnelled through a Kafka queue into column-oriented storage.
- Bridged product stakeholders and the engineering team, acting as scrum master.
- Designed for concurrent processing, responsive queries across a large dataset and robust recovery intended to prevent data loss.
Took over and modernised the ageing codebase behind a psychological assessment model as its sole developer.
- Questionnaire delivery and an analysis engine driven by server-side templates instead of hard-coded logic.
- Report generation upgraded to support SVG — custom graphics, once manually drawn PNGs, now drawn server-side with D3 and embedded directly in the PDF reports.
- Mapped and tested domain-specific assessment algorithms in direct collaboration with the product owners, with complete technical responsibility for the system.
Helped develop several mobile apps, alongside developing my own.
- A festival app built with Xamarin.
- An offline-first iPad app (PhoneGap/Cordova) for travelling representatives, synchronising notes and photos with the home office once back online.
- Native apps for Android and iOS — prototyping as well as apps of my own.
Developed centrally managed kiosk systems for Android and Windows, including device fleets and hardware integrations.
- Central control over deployed devices, configuration and content, including remote monitoring and device management.
- Integrated Android kiosks with Bluetooth payment terminals and Windows kiosks with card readers for a loyalty programme.
- A multilingual media platform using Amazon S3, with configurable AI personalities, each with their own instructions and knowledge base, text and real-time voice interaction, and acoustic echo cancellation.
- A virtual greeting-card editor and viewer built with reusable web libraries and marketplace APIs, tested for consistent behaviour and rendering across browsers, desktop and mobile devices.
- Modernised a slow legacy website with a Python frontend placed before the original CMS, improving performance while gradually replacing functionality and resolving search visibility issues.
- Internal tooling: AI-assisted document generation, desktop automation, and template-driven PowerPoint generation with dynamic text, embedded AI-generated video and programmatically configured animations.
- Maestro (in development): a client-server control panel for containerised applications, allowing multiple organisations to share a host while remaining in isolated environments.
- A speech-to-text transcriber running a local AI model, so nothing ever leaves the machine.
- A remote code client for agentic engineering: IDE and source code stay on my server, accessed securely from anywhere.
